Okay then,
So you missed out on the first two Nebuli SEs.
No worries I'll be finishing up the final processes on the S30-V blades, and more will be rolling out soon.
The first handful will likely be plain ones, with an anodized frame or two.
More "Fancy" models are in the future as well.

"Alrighty then, Who's Paying Attention Here?"

It's time!!
Let's find the Nebuli SE9 a new home.
Specs from the Teaser post:
This one gets the "9" designation, cuz that's how far I pimped it.
As with all the Nebulii this one features a Titanium integral frame.
This is the 1st. to feature a .125 thick Ti blade though..
I also made up the custom thumb disk as well.
The cross hatching is something I had been wanting to employ, and finally got around to doing it.
Teflon washers, and a Ceramic detent ball make for smooth blade deployment.
Blue glow dots along the spine, and a wee blue self lighting gas vial installed in the lock bar round this one out.
It even comes equipped with a matching blue anodized Ti Mini Triple Cube.

"Custom Gear Shift Knob"

Hello all,
Well it's time to part with this one.
What we have here is a Custom Gear Shift Knob I recently made.
This is the 2nd. of two, and my Father is already sporting the other in his 30 Ford.
6061-T6 Aluminum geodesic sphere with .156 thick Copper inlays.
Weight is 7 ounces.
One facet has been drilled, and tapped, and has a 3/8-16 stainless steel helicoil installed.
What, you don't have a Hot Rod to put it in? I suppose it would make a nifty paper weight then...:)
Price on this is $150.00 USA, and $165.00 to other worldly destinations. !!SOLD!!
Shoot me an Email if you're interested in making a purchase.
On a side note, I'll be at the shop tomorrow, so stay tuned as a Nubuli or two may make an appearance by weeks end.
Enjoy the photos,
Kenn

"Just A Preview....Not Yet Available"

Alright folks,
Here's a preview of what I mean by "Special" on the Nebuli SE's.
The Nebuli SE 9.  NOT FOR SALE....yet.
This one gets the "9" designation, cuz that's how far I pimped it.
As with all the Nebulii this one features a Titanium integral frame.
This is the 1st. to feature a Ti blade though.
I also made up the custom thumb disk as well.
The cross hatching is something I had been wanting to employ, and finally got around to doing it.
Teflon washers make for smooth blade deployment.
Originally it had a Stainless detent ball, but the way it dragged along the Ti blade made for a gritty feeling. I've since swapped it out for a Ceramic one that took care of the issue.
Blue glow dots along the spine, and a wee blue self lighting gas vial installed in the lock bar round this one out.
Thanks for having a look,
Kenn

"Sunday Sale"

Hi all,
Let's start off with the bad news.
I had planned on having two "Special Nebuli SE's" ready for today, but ran into a few snags.
Since my S30-V blades still aren't ready the "Special" thing about these two is that they have Titanium blades.
One is fairly basic in appearance, but also includes all Ti hardware, custom made pivot, lock bar stop pin, and thumb disk. The second is just pimped to the hilt.
The snag:
One is that the Teflon washers I want to use on the all Ti one are supposed to be .010 thick, but I received .020 from the supplier, also the 35 1/8*5/16 pivots came in as 7/16.....ugh!!
Next problem, the "Pimped" one is all set for glow dots in the spine, but the blue glow powder didn't  arrive...2nd. ugh!!
Please understand, no one is more bummed out about this than myself.
I really wanted to kick off the Nebuli SE's with some flair right out of the gate.
As soon as these issues are rectified the 2 will be offered up for sale (Yeah I'll give you all another heads up).

So, on to the good news.
I do have 3 of the "Proto Butcherettes" all set, and avaiable for purchase. I'm being selfish, and keeping one for myself:)
These are made from CPM S30-V, and heat treated to 58-60 Rockwell.
Measuring .140 thick, by 1.000 wide, and 3.00 long.
The chisel ground cutting edge is 1.250 long.
Stock tumbled finish, and they came back from heat treat with a neat Bronze tinge to them.
Sorry no sheaths for these.
I'm in the process of outfitting myself with the proper equipment for making Kydex sheaths in the future.
In an attempt to make up for the lack of said sheaths, I've added an Atwood Longlide to each Lanyard.
Two of the Longslides are Aluminum, and the other is Stainless.
Pricing: USA $100.00.
A USPS Money Order will work as well.
If you'd like to purchase one, please Email jordanmetalart@gmail.com
Thank you all for your continued support, and the rest of the Nebuli will be appearing after the New Year.

Merry Christmas,
Kenn

"Just got the Blades Back From Heat Treat"

Well,
I must say that was a quick turn around from the Heat Treaters.
So I suppose it's time to get these moving along.
The bad news is that I only have a few hours available on Saturday morning to do anything with them.
I honestly wasn't expecting them this soon, and have plans in place for the rest of the weekend.

"Nebuli SE Update"

Hey kids,
On Saturday I finished up machining operation #6 of the Nebuli SE blades, which is the final opp.
This is where I add the Lock Bar engagement angle.
Here's a picture of the fixture I use in this opp.
This fixture is also used when milling the outside blade profile from opp. #2.
I sent them out today to the Heat Treaters.
As soon as they come back, I'll put the finish edges on them, and can start assembling a few:)
Let's hope it's soon. They have been sitting on my Proto Butcherettes waiting for more CPM S30V.
It seems they only treat this type of steel for some Peter Atwood guy...lol
Anyway between the 4 Butcherettes & the 39 blades, I would think they should have enough to justify firing up the oven.
We're getting close,
Kenn

"Lock Bar Carbidizing"

Hello all,
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving?
Well, I'm at the shop today milling the outside profiles on the new Nebuli blades.
While they are cycling, I have 4 1/2 minutes of idle time.
I decided to multitask, and carbidize the lock bar faces on the Titanium frames.
Carbidizing puts a thin layer of carbide on to the Ti hence making it more wear resistant when the lock bar engages against the hardened S30V knife blade.
Here's a quick video of the process.

"Translucent Green G-10 Lanterns"

Hi all,
So I was walking past the stock rack at the shop the other day, and saw this 1/2" diameter rod of Translucent G-10 sitting there. A light bulb moment occurred, let's make a Self  Lighting Gas Lantern with this stuff.
I machined it all up, inserted the vial, then ran to the bathroom with the lights off to check it out.
Yep, just as I thought, not only do you get the light from the viewing holes, but the G-10 itself glows as well:)
They were tough to photograph, and are quite more impressive in person.
Specs:
.500 diameter * 1.500 long Translucent G-10.
3mm * 23mm SLGV.
#10-32 stainless steel socket set screw drilled thru for additional vial viewing.
20 viewing ports.
 Black Paracord lanyard.
I have 2 0 available out of the 4 prototypes made. !!SOLD!!
USA price is $95.00.
