I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving?
Well, I'm at the shop today milling the outside profiles on the new Nebuli blades.
While they are cycling, I have 4 1/2 minutes of idle time.
I decided to multitask, and carbidize the lock bar faces on the Titanium frames.
Carbidizing puts a thin layer of carbide on to the Ti hence making it more wear resistant when the lock bar engages against the hardened S30V knife blade.

I'm a getting there.
Between yesterday & today I was able to machine the outside profile on all the blades.
Tomorrow I'll start the "Grind" operation.
It's gonna be a wicked long day, but I hope to complete that opp. as well.
Next, will be to add the angle for the lock bar engagement & drill, tap, and counter bore for the thumb disk. That will go pretty quick though.
So hopefully after next weekend I can send them off to heat treat that Monday.

Yeah if it wasn't for the sparks I doubt I would have posted the video.
They make a mundane process look cool...:)
